Definition
Course
The intended direction of flight over the ground, measured in degrees from north. Course is the line drawn on a chart from departure to destination. It differs from heading because heading also accounts for wind correction. If you want to fly a course of 090 degrees but the wind is from the north, your heading will be somewhat greater than 090.
